Hey my loverlies :)
Just a quick one!... sometimes I feel the need to blog about a product and its like an annoying itch until I fulfill that need!
So I want to talk about a product I have been using for a while now, over a month! So I feel like I am able to give it a fair and honest review!
It is the E.L.F Zit Zapper! not the most glamourous of products but we all have those hellish times where we are attacked by spots or 'breakouts' as some of you over the water would say.
So, in the past month I have been suffering with one of the worst rounds of spots EVER! especially in the crease of my chin *eww*.
I've felt like tearing my hair out over it because, I thought spots especially for women, are all in conjunction with your monthly cycle. This led me to believe that if I were to get spots it would only be for like a week out of the month where my hormones are at an all time high!
NO! this is most certainly not the case for me this month, I have just had a continuously spotty month :( every time I thought they were starting to go, a new one decided to rear its poxy head... all feel sorry for me haa!
ANYWAYS!... I Have been using the E.L.F Zit Zapper for the entirety of this time as part of my morning and night skincare routine just after I have applied my moisturiser!
Application
The Zit Zapper has a rollerball applicator, this is so that you are able to use it as a spot on treatment, it isn't like some of the cream spot treatments like Clean and Clear for example. You just roll it over the spot or issue you are having on yow face! *WARNING* if your spot is slightly open to the air when you put this on it is going to hurt like a B**CH. So just make sure you let your skin heal a little bit before putting this on!
How It Works
The E.L.F website claims that you can 'Fight blemishes with the unique blend of Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Camphor' so its full of elements which are known for their spot fighting capabilities!.
I've found that the way that this product works is by covering the spot with a sort of film, I'm assuming to prevent any germs or anything from the air (and my fingers sometimes I can't help it) from getting into the problem area, to therefore let it heal all on its own. I have also found that similar to some other spot-on treatments, it works by drying out the spot causing it to heal at a faster rate.
Effectiveness
So.. DOES IT WORK? Yes it does although this month I have had spot after spot for some bizarre reason. As a treatment this product is a life saver! Yesterday I had nowhere to go so I had no need to put makeup on or anything, I literally spend the whole day applying this every couple of hours. It worked even better because of this and a mammoth of a spot was well and truly defeated by this morning!
I just want to stress that this is a treatment but not a preventative measure, this product is my go to if i have spot already, I don't use it in areas which look a bit moody.
Price
The Zit Zapper is a part of E.L.F's essentials range. Its pretty bargainous at £1.50! It also lasts quite a while too! I've had mine for over a month now as I say and I am less than a third of the way down the bottle!
Where do I get it!?
You will find the E.L.F Zit Zapper, in TARGET stores I think If you are in America as far as I know and I think there are some other stores you can get E.L.F in the states!
However us Britarinos have to make do with the E.L.F online store which you will find HERE, although there is an online store if you're in the states!
So I hope that you found this review helpful and informative for those of you who are like me who are having a terrible time with those lil S**ts we get on our faces all too often!
Not the most attractive or interesting topics to talk about but everyone has skin issues from time to time even if you are bless with very well balanced skin. I just thought you guys would like to hear about a great product I have found which works!
